Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support U.S.-based Senior Living operations. This role combines hourly U.S. payroll processing, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and P&L exposure , requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with U.S. stakeholders. The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, highly communicative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment .Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll (U.S. Hourly Payroll)Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple U.S. Senior Living communities (approximately 400 employees ).Calculate and process commissions, bonuses, and adjustments .Record payroll journal entries in the accounting system.Serve as the main point of contact for payroll system issues and inquiries.Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with U.S. payroll standards .Accounts Receivable & Revenue SupportAudit resident charges to ensure accuracy.Review daily deposits and reconcile them to resident accounts.Process resident refunds .Support revenue-related inquiries and reporting.Accounting & Financial AnalysisPerform bank reconciliations .Conduct P&L trending and analysis .Participate in monthly P&L review meetings with community directors, answering payroll, AR, and revenue-related questions.Prepare monthly statistical reports for move-ins and move-outs.Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.Systems & ToolsSage IntacctPaylocityAugust HealthWelcome HomeIPOSpaysRequirementsExperience with U.S. companies .Hands-on experience with:Hourly U.S. payrollAccounts ReceivableExposure to Accounts PayableSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP .Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).Confident, talkative, and comfortable interacting with U.S. stakeholders.Ability to explain financial and payroll topics clearly to non-financial audiences.U.S. visa available and willingness to travel to the U.S. when required .Soft SkillsConfident and professional communicator.Proactive and solution-oriented.Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.Strong interpersonal skills and client-facing mindset.Organized and detail-oriented.BenefitsChristmas Bonus : 30 days, to be paid in December.Major Medical Expense Insurance : Coverage up to $20,000,000.00 MXN.Minor Medical Insurance : VRIM membership with special discounts on doctor's appointments and accident reimbursements.Dental Insurance : Always smile with confidenceLife Insurance : (Death and MXN Disability)Vacation Days : 12 vacation days in accordance with Federal Labor Law, with prior approval from your manager. + Floating Holidays : 3 floating holidays in addition to the 7 official holidays in Mexico.Cell Phone Reimbursement & Transportation Subsidy.Hybrid Scheme : Enjoy the best of both worlds, remote and in-office work.Multicultural Exposure : Work with operations within Mexico and United States.MezTal Internal Events : Strike a healthy balance between your professional and personal goals.Exclusive Discounts : Benefits with different companies for being part of MezTal.Academic Agreements : Access to national universities and language schools.
