You’ll work closely with our in-house accounting team, project managers, and insurance contacts to identify roadblocks to payment, track down missing documentation, and follow up with customers and insurance adjusters to ensure we get paid — quickly and completely.What You’ll Do:Investigate aged receivables by researching accounts in Salesforce and internal systemsProactively follow up with insurance companies, adjusters, and customers to identify missing documents or approvals.Coordinate with internal team members (project managers, field staff) to obtain required items such as certificates of completion, final sign-offs, and customer approvalsBuild a deep understanding of our receivables process and become a key support for the accounting teamMaintain clear records of communications and progress in SalesforceEscalate complex issues and make recommendations to streamline collectionsDevelop trust and become a go-to team member for our accountant and leadership teamStay relentlessly on top of accounts to prevent delays — politely persistent, but never pushyWhat We’re Looking For:Prior experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or insurance billing (restoration/construction industry is a plus)Comfortable navigating Salesforce or other CRM/accounting systemsStrong communication skills — you’re comfortable picking up the phone, following up regularly, and handling tough conversations with professionalismAnalytical mindset — you can review an account, ask the right questions, and see the whole pictureSelf-starter with strong follow-throughComfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quicklyTeam player who’s not afraid to speak up and clarify assignments when neededWhy This Role Matters:Our accounting team is stretched thin, and we need someone who can own this part of the business.
