This role works closely with Bain’s Intersect SM and ENR practice teams to advance product development and support client engagements.Where you’ll fit within the teamIn this full-time hybrid role, you’ll join Bain’s Energy and Natural Resources (ENR CoE) team—65+ professionals organized across sub-sector specialties—within the Bain Capability Network. This role supports Bain’s Intersect SM team, contributing to case delivery, energy model development and optimization, and broader client development efforts.What you’ll doIn this role, you’ll be responsible for the formulation and implementation of complex optimization models to address energy transition challenges, leveraging Bain’s Intersect SM platform:Case Cracking: Collaborate with practice stakeholders to solve complex, multi-dimensional business problems for Bain’s ENR case teamsClient Development: Develop client-facing materials and support leadership in pitches; occasional travel may be requiredProduct Management: Maintain and enhance the Intersect SM model to reflect evolving market conditionsTeam Oversight: May manage a small team of analysts, including task allocation, review, and feedback discussionsStakeholder Collaboration: Interface with primary client contacts (internal and/or external)About youBachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field, with 2–5 years of relevant professional experienceProficiency in GAMS (General Algebraic Modeling System) and mathematical optimizationHigh proficiency in spoken and written English (C1–C2 level), with strong communication skillsStrong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languagesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressureA solid understanding of macroeconomics and the ENR sector is a plusWillingness to travel regionally within the Americas, if requiredSeniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionConsultingIndustriesBusiness Consulting and ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Bain & Company. #J-18808-Ljbffr
