This pivotal role requires organizational agility and eagerness to lead cross‑functional teams to identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities, improving product quality and material diversification to enhance TE's overall value proposition and achieve a yearly savings goal. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and analytical abilities, a deep understanding of engineering principles, and a proven track record of aggressively driving efficiency and innovation across diverse projects. The Value Engineering Manager will foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments. This job is located in our Sonora Manufacturing Campus, Mexico.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the value engineering team, providing clear direction and support to achieve objectives and deliver results.Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Product Management to identify areas for improvement and implement cost‑saving/value‑enhancing strategies.Identify cost‑saving opportunities through value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) methodology and implement innovative solutions to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve product quality.Drive cross‑functional VA/VE projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high quality standards.Utilize data analysis techniques to identify key factors impacting product costs, quality, and value proposition, and implement data‑driven solutions to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and implementing best practices for VA/VE processes across departments.Communicate project updates, cost savings, and opportunities with key stakeholders within the organization.Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in value engineering, cost optimization, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Value Methodology Associate (VMA) Certification preferred.Minimum of 10 years in automotive engineering, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience.Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and cost drivers.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results in a collaborative environment.Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel as needed to visit suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and other relevant locations.Ability to work in a demanding environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with relevant software tools, such as CAD/CAM software, cost estimation software, CoLabs, and ERP systems preferred.Location and TravelTravel: 10–25%Location: Sonora, México.What Your Background Should Look LikeGenerally requires a bachelor's degree in an appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; a master's degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level.CompetenciesSET: Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers). #J-18808-Ljbffr
