Job description describes responsibilities in product quality assurance, APQP for new product development, DFMEA/PFMEA, control plan preparation, QA matrix development, customer liaison for APQP/PPAP/DV/PV, and facilitating problem-solving for DV/PV open issues.Job DutiesThis is a multi-dimensional role interfacing with internal customers (R&D, Engineering, Operations, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing).Establish a robust APQP process with innovative solutions driving continual improvement.Participate on New Product Development teams to define and achieve product and process quality goals.Handoff methodology to Product Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering and other functions for efficient product releases.Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Reliability Engineering, Sustaining Engineering and Program Management on product requirements, design review, verification, and validation requirements.Understand Voice of the Customer and final purchaser requirements from MRD perspective.Collaborate with Engineering on Product requirement definition and revisions to meet marketing needs from product and validation perspective.Lead lessons learned reviews to create improvement plans.Develop safety checklists and coordinate risk assessment with relevant teams and legal.Coordinate DFMEA through product design and quality sustaining after launch.Create test plans and revise test cases with engineering for effective test execution.Review test execution and regression testing plans as needed.Document final official CQ reports and create special reports for customers.Perform First Product Inspection (FPI) to identify risks to launch dates and prevent delays.Interface with Product Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to transfer new designs to high-volume production per requirements.Assist suppliers during introductions of new products/components to ensure specification compliance.Conduct supplier Quality System, Process and Product audits as required.Communicate program quality risks to stakeholders and implement mitigation with teams.Evaluate and qualify sourced product suppliers.Train and mentor resources to support APQP initiatives.Prepare Supplier and Internal Quality KPIs, countermeasures and action plans for supplier quality metrics, on-time delivery, and 8D responses.You Must Have5 – 7 years of experience with quality management systems in highly regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical).Strong knowledge of tools like PPAP, FMEA, APQP (Control Plans), SPC and MSA.Strong knowledge of APQP methodology including VOC, failure mode analysis, and product/process validation (PVT).Experience with design conception in a high-volume manufacturing environment with mechanical design skills including GD&T and measurement methods.Proficient in English.We ValueCross-functional teamwork across departments to ensure quality for NPI.Strong Quality background.What’s In It For You?Benefits beyond Mexican labor law for well-being and peace of mind.Collaborative and inclusive environment where contributions are valued.Opportunities for continuous professional growth through training and mentoring.Access to cutting-edge tools and a supportive team.Opportunity to work with a global, innovative company shaping the future in its industry.About UsResideo Technologies intends to spin off ADI Global Distribution into a separate, publicly traded company.
