Tasks And Qualifications This is What you Will Do in This Role: Electrical (HW) Design – Using prescribed guidelines and policies. Interprets design input information to produce semi complex systems designs. Selection and placement of electrical and controls components in conveyor systems (e.g., Photoeyes, I/O Blocks, Beacon Lights, Control Stations, Gateways, VFDs). Builds Electrical Layouts and Schematic Drawings using CAD tools. Performs FLA, Power Drop, Cable Length, and other calculations ensuring accurate functioning and compliance with Dematic and Industrial Standards. Designs of industrial networks follow Dematic and industrial standards (Ethernet, ProfiBus/ProfiNet, ASi, DCAN, etc.). Software Design – Using prescribed guidelines and policies. Design semi-complex conveyor controls software using tools such as AB Logix Designer, Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7, etc. Configure VFD parameters according to specific applications. Create Embedded Conveyor Controllers (ECCs) configuration and parameter files. Create Conveyor System Emulation Models for testing and validation. Document findings and results according to Dematic standards (Best Practices, Standard Work Packages, procedures, manuals). Share built documents with less experienced engineers through trainings, manuals, and forums.
