Talent Partner (US Startup Hiring) — Mexico (Remote) Location: Remote — Mexico Schedule: Full-time with U.S. Eastern Time coverage (core overlap required) Compensation: Up to $50,000 MXN/month (based on experience) Experience: 3–5+ years in recruiting / Talent Partner / startup hiring Reports To: Founder, PathwaysX Non-negotiable requirement: You have direct experience supporting U.S.-based startups and/or U.S. hiring managers and can operate day-to-day in U.S. working hours. About PathwaysX PathwaysX helps U.S. early-stage startups scale faster with talent infrastructure—not "more recruiting." We combine structured, high-signal assessment with Pathways Connect (our platform) and human Talent Partners who apply judgment. We don't send 200 resumes. We deliver high-signal shortlists that founders can act on quickly. PathwaysX blends AI-enabled assessments with human judgment. Candidates go through structured evaluation (fit + skills signals), and Talent Partners use that data to create high-signal shortlists and guide founders to faster decisions. Role Purpose You will be PathwaysX's first Talent Partner—owning end-to-end execution of searches for U.S. startup clients. This is not a sourcing-only role. You will operate as a partner to founders: clarifying the real need, shaping interview loops, delivering crisp shortlists, coaching candidates, and driving offers to close—while keeping our platform data clean and compounding what we learn across searches. What You'll Own 1) Founder Intake + Role Calibration Run deep intake calls to uncover the real need behind the job title Clarify scope, outcomes, must-haves, nice-to-haves, and dealbreakers Translate ambiguity into a role scorecard and search strategy Align on interview plan, timeline, and decision rules (so searches don't drift) 2) Sourcing + Candidate Pipeline (Quality > Volume) Build pipelines using curated sources + outbound outreach Screen for startup readiness, role outcomes, and signal—not pedigree Maintain high candidate experience: sharp comms, fast follow-up, clear next steps Keep pipelines moving with urgency that matches U.S. startup pace 3) High-Signal Shortlists (3–5 candidates, with clear trade-offs) Deliver 3–5 candidate slates with written rationale and trade-offs Explain "who this candidate wins with / struggles with" in founder language Flag risks early (comp, scope, pace, leadership gaps, fit concerns) and propose mitigations 4) Candidate Coaching + Offer Execution Prep candidates for founder style, interview format, and what "good" looks like Support debriefs, decision-making, and offer strategy Manage offer stages end-to-end: alignment checks, closing risks, expectation-setting, and follow-through 5) Assessment Signal + Human Judgment (AI-assisted, founder-ready) Review structured assessment outputs and candidate signals (fit + role readiness) Combine assessment data + your interviews into a clear recommendation Explain signals and trade-offs in plain language founders can act on Keep the process human: candidates feel respected, not "processed" 6) Platform Hygiene + Compounding Intelligence Maintain clean, reliable data in Pathways Connect: stages, tags, notes, and reasons Run weekly hygiene checks and ensure pipeline accuracy is always founder-ready Capture learnings from each search (what worked, what didn't) to improve future matching 7) Collaboration With Global Ops Lead Partner with our Global Ops Lead to keep searches organized and the system running: scheduling help, handoffs, weekly cadence, and internal coordination Who Thrives Here You'll do well if you: Think in systems, not just tasks Can write clearly and synthesize signal quickly Are calm under founder urgency and can drive decisions forward Care about data hygiene and repeatable process (not "hero recruiting") Take ownership and communicate proactively without needing chasing Requirements (Non-negotiable) Direct experience supporting U.S.-based startups and/or U.S. hiring managers (U.S. company, U.S. clients, or U.S. teams) Ability to work consistent overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours 4–7+ years in recruiting / Talent Partner roles in fast-paced environments Strong English (written + verbal) — founder-facing conversations daily Experience hiring for at least one of: GTM, Product, Engineering, Customer Experience Comfort using structured assessments and signal outputs to inform shortlists Comfortable running structured workflows and maintaining clean pipeline data (stages, tags, notes, rejection reasons) High ownership, reliability, and confidentiality Bonus (Nice to Have) Seed → Series A hiring experience (early-stage ambiguity, fast decisions) Exposure to both direct hire + contract hiring motions Strong written synthesis (shortlist narratives that founders can act on immediately)
