Tax Manager

Which is the main objective of this role?

  • Support the Tax Director with the all LATAM tax operation agenda to design, standardize, automate and provide an excellent service and Improvement initiatives. In close cooperation with the head of the tax reporting team. (Bevs and Foods)
  • This position guarantees the accuracy and integrity of the calculation of the tax provision, the validation of accounting and tax fixed assets, validation and assembly of the FAS109 calculation, submission of the tax accounting and validation of the FAS109 balances in HFM.
  • Responsible for the determination of VAT, tax forecasting, Effective Tax Rate and Cash Tax supporting, accounting.
  • Manage and direct your team to provide services to all of LATAM for a successful result.
  • Keep abreast of changes in legislation at a jusrisdictional and international level and respond as necessary to the BU's.


Is also responsible for ensuring closing improvement iniatives, automation, alignment with all stakeholders, anticipating alignment for reporting changes to ensure accuracy and timing.


  • Technical GAAP/IFRS and international taxation skills in direct and indirect tax, deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, review and evolvement of financial controls, strong communication skills, team development and stakeholder management will be integral to the role. Leading and coordinating tax initiatives, Transfer Pricing documentation, countrybycountry reporting, process improvements, technology deployment / enables and Tax Risk mitigation efforts including organizing health checks and development of risk mitigation strategies form a crucial element of the role with interaction across organizational functions domestically, regionally and corporate.

What will you be doing?

Responsible for aligning with stakeholders and ensuring key steps in the closing process:

  • To ensure the determination of the tax provision for the closing of the month and quarter.
  • Smartview
  • HFM
  • Validation of Fixed Tax Assets.
  • Validation of provisions / temporary items for calculation.
  • Generate tax projections each quarter for the correct and adequate report to the Tax Reporting team.
  • Validation of all the FAS109 cedulas with explanations.
  • VAT Calculation
  • IT Calculation
  • Fiscal support to business areas.
  • Review and attend to the process of the income statement, Tax Returns, payment of contributions, VAT, withholdings, etc. etc.

Ensure the integrity of the Company's tax calculations and associated systems. Develop systems and procedures for the efficient and effective management of the Company's finances.

  • 3. Oversees all general tax activities, including the tax account reconciliation process.
  • 4. Participate in all fiscal operations, including reports, forecasts, billing, etc.
  • 5. Participate in the monthly closing ensuring timeliness, accuracy, integrity and compliance with corporate and tax policies.

  • 7. Contributes to the definition of service standards and ongoing management of service level agreements
