About This Role:

You will have a significant impact on enhancing operational excellence within the supply chain in alignment with our strategy to support category growth and exceed the expectations of our Customers and Consumers. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all aspects of supply operations (MRP, MRP), as well as backing key initiatives to optimize the supply chain framework and elevate global customer service. Moreover, you will offer strategic guidance to the supply chain team, driving ongoing enhancements in crucial planning areas while spearheading the digital transformation efforts, including leveraging advanced supply tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain Planning to execute the Supply Operational Plan.
  • Monitor, assess, and present supply chain metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and lead improvement projects.
  • Uphold superior service levels for customers, ensuring overall supply chain efficacy and end-to-end value creation.
  • Manage inventory levels at Diageo to attain financial objectives and diminish outdated stock.
  • Drive initiatives to evolve and strengthen supply chain capabilities and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with local bottling operations, encompassing bulk planning and supply.
  • Investigate new market avenues, streamline processes, and reduce lead times.
  • Promote internal synergy among supply and cross-functional teams (operations, finance, procurement, strategy, and markets).

Managerial Duties:

  • Mentor and nurture team members, fostering a culture of continual learning and professional development.
  • Establish clear performance standards and goals for team members, providing regular feedback and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Cultivate a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and innovation within the supply chain team, embodying key behaviors such as experimentation, curiosity, efficient collaboration, and critical action.
  • Oversee resources, budgets, and operational expenses within the supply chain domain.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Extensive Regional Expertise : Demonstrated track record in managing supply chain operations, with a profound comprehension of regional market dynamics, regulations, and cultural nuances.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to implement strategic endeavors to optimize the end-to-end supply chain, drive cost efficiencies, and enhance service levels while aligning with overarching business goals.
  • Multifunctional Team Leadership: Experience in leading multifunctional teams covering supply chain planning operations, procurement, production, and distribution across diverse countries, promoting a culture of cooperation and dedication.
  • Inventory Management Expertise: Robust background in inventory management, including optimizing inventory, reducing stock-outs, minimizing obsolete stock, and enhancing inventory outcomes, resulting in exceptional inventory performance across categories and regions.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English and Spanish, with adeptness in communication across varied partners within the region and globally.
