Involves the completion of administrative tasks and coordination relating to the front-line operation which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, despatch activities, and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these roles, the majority of time is spent on office-based activities.
General Job Description:
- Prepare all necessary customs forms to allow import, export, and transit procedures to carry out timely, efficient, and effective shipments by air, such as master guides, cargo manifests, general declarations, invoices, and any related documentation.
- Prepare forms detailing custom duties, taxes/VAT.
- Prepare international manifests to ensure timely cargo release.
- Ensure full compliance of all ramp activities with country policies, tax laws, and FedEx rules.
- Interact with customs officials and coordinate customs activities internally.
- Contact customers regarding information and additional tax payments.
- Keep all customs documentation organized and filed correctly.
- Classify and transfer cargo to other airlines when required.
- Process flight information submission through customs computer system.
- Track shipments for different cases.
- Manage inventory in urgent shipping warehouses.
- Control supplies and inventories.
- Support load-captain function if needed.
- May be assigned additional duties.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in international trade or related field.
- English proficiency (450 TOEIC points).
Minimum Experience:
- Technician/technologist in international trade or business with at least two years of experience handling air cargo, customs laws, and processes.
- Skills: analytical thinking, planning, organizational, communication, administrative skills, computer proficiency, English language fluency in customs field.
- Driver's license desirable.
- Available for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
FedEx internal personnel interested in the position should submit their curriculum, cover letter addressing the job profile, and valid 450 TOEIC points English Exam scores within the bulletin validity. It is recommended to approach the requesting manager in advance.
