The Amazon Prime Video team is shaping the future of digital video entertainment. The Original Content group focuses on ensuring the investment in the most promising original content for customers and implementing policies to protect Amazon's investment in original content. We are looking for a Production Finance executive to lead Amazon's Latin America Digital Video team in managing original content production in Mexico. This role involves various projects, requiring strong multitasking abilities to efficiently deliver results. The ideal candidate will have outstanding Finance skills, a deep understanding of Finance & Accounting principles, strong leadership qualities, and sound business judgment to drive organizational goals.

The successful candidate must have thrived in a fast-paced, global environment and possess influencing skills to guide senior business leaders through effective communication, logical reasoning, and presenting alternatives. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and prioritization skills are essential. We need a self-starter who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and partner with various departments including Legal, Business Affairs, and Accounting. The candidate should be able to engage with global business partners and proactively meet senior-level business managers' demands.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in television and original production, bridging the gap between Amazon's business teams and local producers in México. This role will be dedicated to overseeing Mexican production projects within the LatAm Finance Production team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support LatAm Production Finance team, providing weekly reports on production finance status, PO, Funding, etc.
  • Act as the main contact between multiple original TV productions and Amazon Studios finance team
  • Collaborate with Prime Video LatAm team and local production service companies
  • Review production budgets, cost reports, and reconcile accounts prepared by show accountants
  • Hire skilled production accounting teams to support production accounting on complex shows
  • Work closely with show accountants for accurate cost reporting and managing show assets
  • Prepare financial reports in collaboration with various production staff and Amazon teams
  • Manage production incentives, cash flow, funding processes, and financial reporting
  • Implement innovative solutions for effective financial controls in a growing business

This role is based in Mexico City, MX


Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Support LatAm Production Finance team with weekly reports on production finance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 4+ years of key financial performance indicators (KPIs) analysis experience
  • 4+ years of process improvements, automation, and analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or related quantitative role experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for data mining and business intelligence
  • Lean sensei or Quality Assurance Engineer experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years of continuous improvement projects with measurable results
  • MBA or CPA qualifications
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience with data mining tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, and financial systems like Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards
