Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes, and leading a team of employees. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving operational efficiency, managing teams, and achieving results.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop business strategies that align with the Company's global business plan.
- Identifying and diversifying manufacturing base as necessary. Potential process extension into Stamping and molding, leveraging group expertise as necessary.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to achieve business objectives.
- Ensuring the site maintains its ability and reputation as a leading-edge high-speed stamping facility through the development and training of the internal technical team in the areas of die design, tool-making and stamping operations.
- Drive significant improvements in EHS, Productivity, Delivery performance and Quality.
- Driving a continuous improvement culture into the company to focus on improved cost reduction, and quality and delivery performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to track and report on key operational indicators.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to operations.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
- Lead a team of employees, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field; master's degree.
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and achieving results.
- 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in Precision Metal Stamping, Plastic Injection Molding space.
- Strong knowledge of company (history, culture, identity, goals) industry (Automotive), QMS (ISO 9001:2008, TS 16949, ISO and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, OEE)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Experience in developing and implementing performance metrics to track and report on key operational indicators.
- Ability to lead and manage change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
