ZF is a leading global technology company that provides systems for various vehicle types, paving the way for the next generation of mobility. ZF's solutions empower vehicles to perceive, analyze, and respond.
Currently, ZF is seeking an Engineer III - Customer Quality for our Chihuahua location.
Responsibilities - Engineer III - Customer Quality:
- Maintain close communication with ZF Tech Representatives in the field to gather real-time customer feedback.
- Offer onsite customer technical support regarding seat belt, airbag, and steering wheel systems' fit, finish, and performance.
- Assist in handling initial customer quality issues and third-party containment activities.
- Support problem-solving initiatives and communication between assembly plants and the engineering center.
- Coordinate and deliver corrective action presentations to customer assembly plants and their engineering centers.
- Report critical information to top management regarding customer production disruptions and quality-related matters.
- Negotiate with customers to reduce Parts-Per-Million data, non-conformance tickets, and containment activities.
- Conduct quality systems audits at ZF plants before program launch and SOP.
- Assist in developing APQP documents and processes using customer feedback.
- Provide technical quality expertise for product and process development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in APQP and GD & T tools and practices
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical and process issues
- Good understanding of technical quality and manufacturing principles
- Up to 10% travel within North America and Mexico
- ASQ certification is a plus
