Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing internal areas of opportunities through the DMAIIC methodology and tools of excellence in processes. The goal is to reduce manufacturing costs and continue with the culture of continuous improvement, as comprehended in the strategy of Business Without Interruptions (BWI).
Key Responsibilities- Identify, design, and develop necessary equipment to improve manufacturing processes.
- Perform material tests to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Study processes to implement improvements and optimize production.
- Prepare and manage specifications for equipment and materials.
- Assist technicians and engineers with unusual problems and provide technical guidance.
- Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment that meets safety and environmental requirements.
- Perform activities of process/product validation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Supervise, coordinate, and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians.
- Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a wide range of tasks assigned in related fields.
- Take decisions about problems and methods of engineering independently and represent the organization in conferences to solve important questions and plan and coordinate work.
- Ensure that changes in engineering comply with regulations and procedures related to safety, environment, and health.
- Responsible for monitoring and other activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage an important engineering project, or a reduced number of projects with complex characteristics.
- As an individual researcher, perform complex tasks or of recent introduction that require the development of techniques or new, improved procedures.
- Evaluate the viability and solidity of engineering evaluation tests proposed, of products and equipment when the necessary data is insufficient or when it is advisable to perform the tests.
- Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Perform other duties assigned as needed.
- Engineering degree, any specialty.
- Preferably knowledge in the medical industry.
- Masters in Science is recommendable for Process Engineer 2 and above.
- Process Engineer 1: No specific experience required.
- Process Engineer 2: Preferably 2 years in a similar position.
- Process Engineer Senior: 5 to 9 years in a similar position, preferably.
- Process Engineer Staff: More than 9 years in a similar position, preferably.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
- Experiment design.
- SPC knowledge.
- Management of statistical procedures.
- Knowledge of computer programs.
- Oral and written communication in Spanish and English, preferably.
- Process Engineer II, Senior and Staff: Strong comprehension of standard costs and work standards.
- Process Engineer Senior and Staff: Knowledge of productive processes.
- Process Engineer Staff: Experimental Engineering techniques, 80% English.
