Etsy is home to a wide variety of markets across the globe, with a core focus on the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, and Australia.


As a Product Design Manager on our Seller Inventory team, you'll help sellers optimize their inventory and explore new opportunities that highlight our sellers' unique items.

You'll lead a team of designers working to build an improved item listing experience while advocating for seller listing opportunities with cross functional partners.

As a primary focus, you'll dedicate yourself to coaching and providing direction for designers as they address complex problems across our seller initiatives.

You'll also partner with product and engineering leaders to improve operations and drive the strategy in a relatively new product initiative.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Product Design Manager. This role requires your presence in Etsy's Mexico City office in an in-person or flex capacity. Learn more about our Flex and Office-based work modes as well as vaccination policy here.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Lead product designers by mentoring and creating career growth opportunities for those on your team
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional team leads to craft the vision, strategy, and operations of your initiative
  • Ensure we are building the right products for our customers, and help teams take the best nearterm steps toward their longterm vision
  • Advocate for our sellers, and guide teams to deliver wellexecuted and onbrand experiences by using our design system
  • Lead regular design reviews, critiques, and brainstorming sessions for your teams
  • Facilitate continuous learning and improvement for the product design team and its members
  • Recruit and hire outstanding design talent and facilitate onboarding of new designers
  • Work alongside the broader Design Leadership team to craft our teams' culture, processes, and tools

  • You have a track record of leading through ambiguity and collaborating with research, analytics and engineers in a continuous delivery environment
  • You embody design quality, leveling up design skills, understand what success looks like in the ecommerce space and knowing how to shepherd execution through your design direction, to launch impactful experience change
  • You regularly make use of your soft skills to persuade and build alignment: listening, consensusbuilding, decisionmaking
  • You spend time providing leadership and mentorship to designers and help pilot new methodologies and approaches
  • You play a lead role in improving your team's culture and engagement
