Under minimal supervision, research, design, develop, modify, and verify components/modules for medical devicesTranslate design inputs to engineering specifications and produce sub-system level designsDevelop and analyze solutions, prototyping one or more options to provide proof of conceptApply fundamental and some advanced concepts, practices and procedures for problem solvingFollow fundamental industry standards, design requirements and test strategies which apply to regulatory requirementsIndependently create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History fileFollow R&D procedure like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management SystemUnder minimal supervision, work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project successQuickly process and assimilate procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology requiredPerforming minor modifications to automatic equipment and Conducting engineering runs and samples.Preparation of documentation for automatic equipment (drawings, manuals, visual aids, etc.).Providing support to production before, during, and after equipment validation.Training various departments as part of the validation processes.Generating conceptual ideas that can be implemented as automation projects.What you will need
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.2+ years of similar work experience in a Highly Regulated Industry.Advanced English.Advanced knowledge of Collaborative Robot programming.Advanced-level PLC programming in Siemens and Allen Bradley brands.Understanding and development of programs in Keyence/Cognex Vision systems.Excellent reading of control and power electrical diagrams.Mechanical drawing using SolidWorks.Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools.Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design.Ability to Communicate basic plans and technical information to team members.Certification in automation fields is a plus.About StrykerStryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
