Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive Automotive New Business Development Representative to help expand our presence in the Mexican market based on our business strategies. This role can be located in either Queretaro, Qro. or Monterrey, and will report to the New Business Development Manager in Mexico. It offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to our dynamic global organization.Main Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and developing potential accounts in the automotive sector in Mexico to achieve target business plans for Revenue and Margin.
  • Promoting and selling Optimas' total value proposition (products, engineering & logistics).
  • Building strong strategic relationships internally and externally for project realization and acceleration.
  • Facilitating communication between customers and all Optimas departments as needed.
  • Keeping updated on market changes and competitors' activities for periodic reporting.
  • Delivering sales presentations and requesting RFQs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with global Business Development Teams and Program Managers/Key Account Managers.
  • Assisting in constructing and negotiating LTAs with the Business Development Manager in México to meet Optimas' objectives.
  • Providing monthly sales and key customer reports.
  • Developing and executing business development plans and sales/market forecasts.
  • Working with Program Managers to revitalize underperforming accounts and strategizing to secure new business.
  • Creating proposals with internal departments to win new business while achieving profitability goals.
  • Ensuring smooth transition of accounts to Program Managers.
  • Handling other duties and responsibilities as required.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in New Business Development.
  • Preferably experience in the automotive fastener or C class components industry in a multinational setting.
  • Experience in project management and reporting for complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Project management skills within decentralized organizations.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, motivation, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities.
