Product Owner


The Product Owner (PO) plays a key role in defining and overseeing the development of valuable, feasible, viable, and user-friendly products that cater to customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.

The PO is responsible for outlining the product roadmap for their assigned products.

The PO collaborates with customers and Product Managers (PMs) to grasp and convey customer requirements.


Additionally, the PO collaborates with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), IT stakeholders, and SMEs from various domains to determine how technology can enhance business processes, drive business value, and improve KPIs.


ResponsibilitiesResponsible for establishing plans and objectives for their product and teams, ensuring continuous communication and consensus building to achieve set goals, with PMs and BRMs.

Responsible for strategizing the product implementation to maximize its value.

Accountable and sometimes involved in creating prototypes, flowcharts, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to visualize and describe product features.

Identify potential technology alternatives and conduct IT cost evaluations with the support of IT architecture resources as required.

Define features and consistently prioritize them with the PM to pinpoint the right initiatives to focus on and add to the product roadmap to ensure a steady stream of value generation.

Accountable for delivering features as per PM's prioritization, offering continuous advice on value versus effort and alignment with the roadmap.

Lead process governance efforts to align processes and system solutions whenever possible.

Drive innovation through research and prototyping, fostering the development and adoption of cutting-edge technologies and business methodologies.

Collaborate with technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and facilitators in accordance with functional and non-functional requirements and defined process flows.

Incorporate upcoming enabler tasks such as architecture, data privacy, security, and regulatory and compliance matters into the backlog alongside the PM. Work closely with the team to determine accepted story completion.

Utilize survey findings, user interviews, and data insights to continuously enhance and scale products, employing effective product strategies.

Act as a change advocate for embracing new work methodologies consistently.
Participate in team demonstrations and retrospectives.
Provide updates on progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.
Collaborate with internal change management and external marketing teams to promote product adoption and market delivery.

QualificationsBachelor's degree with over 5 years of experience in digital/technical product ownership.
Prior exposure to commercial products like customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting, and pricing.
Demonstrated commercial acumen.
Aptitude for technology to effectively communicate and collaborate on desired functionality, particularly with cloud applications.
Prior knowledge or readiness to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles.
Proficient in Agile methodology and culture.
Familiarity with SAFe (Agile at scale) is advantageous.
Skilled in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery.
Capable of working across diverse geographies in a multicultural setting.
Ability and maturity to engage with senior stakeholders globally.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., privacy/compliance) with a preference for design thinking awareness and previous application.
