As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic fully bilingual Maintenance Manager and be part of our Cold Rolling Works team in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
We invite you to explore an exceptional career opportunity, in this role, you will be managing personnel and resources associated with the systems and areas of mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance and automation with a prioritization of safety, compliance, quality, profit, communication, development, and presentation.

Additionally, Outokumpu business area Americas has a commercial office in Brazil.
Job qualifications and experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance management or a specific technical discipline are a plus.
- Advanced English level oral and written.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar leadership role in maintenance within industrial, manufacturing, or facility operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as building infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
- Proficient in maintenance management software and systems.
- A commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Some of the activities you will be doing includes:
- Resolve troubleshooting problems.
- Establish work breakdown structures.
- Support effective maintenance work and outages.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety.
- Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that ensures the optimal functioning of all facility machinery and equipment.
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling and prioritization of work to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Help establish and maintain budgets associated with maintenance, including but not limited to Maintenance contracts, maintenance spend, life cycle cost.
- Manage maintenance budgets and forecasts, including the procurement of supplies and equipment, while striving for cost-efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers, ensuring that all work is completed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Lead, train, and develop maintenance team members, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including costs, undertaken equipment, and inventory of supplies.
- Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in maintenance management and apply best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Availability to respond to emergencies outside of standard working hours
- Plant wide support to manager work priorities to minimize external resource
- Plant wide support to manage priorities and minimize rentals
- Support areas around the facility during times of escalation.
Physical requirements:
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. individually.
- Ability to frequently work from heights
- Exposure to consistent noise.
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, varying temperatures, vibrations, dust and asphalt.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, talk and listen for long periods of time.
- Frequently use hands and fingers, to handle, feel and operate; objects, tools and controls.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to walk long distances, sometimes over uneven terrain.
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs.
- Ability to work in a safety sensitive environment.
