Position Summary

The solutions architect is the person who organizes the development effort of a systems solution.

The solutions architect is responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and transforms that vision through execution into the solution.


Is the person in charge of leading the practice and introducing the overall technical vision for a particular solution aligning IT strategy with business goals.

Working with customers on feedback and strategy to complete projects that optimize the manufacturing process and overall technology direction.

Responsibilities:

Solution Architect

  • Responsible for design of the endtoend solution template and functional architecture in alignment with the Business requirements.
  • Works closely with Development teams, Technical Product Owners, Functional Analysts and Architects to assist in definition of Solution vision and roadmap.
  • Assists with creation of the Solution backlog (Capabilities, Features).
  • Reviews and helps to address the impediments and resolve Risks.
  • Lead the resolution of these issues either by addressing them directly or delegating to a responsible party
Senior Solution Architect (+)

  • Align Business requirements with a Global Vision, Promoting solutions for the projects across the regions.
  • Consolidate, analyze, distribute and control information for decision making considering a global environment.
  • Support central internal customers in their needs with a business approach.
  • Investigate global ways to improve the performance of the business process.
  • Establish the "handshake" with global clients during all the deployment process of the solutions. Confirm their satisfaction with the service provided.
  • Guide and manage of across team actions in projects and initiatives that add value to the business.
Specific Area of Discipline Responsibilities

This position is focused on the functional support of MES, SAP and device integration in Manufacturing areas.

This position will interact with all levels of the company to help implement tools and processes to foster a continuous improvement environment.


  • Supports development of strategy and road map for implementation of the full scope of ERP and MES systems within North America and Europe including solution design, testing and implementation into the productive environment
  • Participates and uses in all departmental meetings and processes
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems.
  • Responsible for collaborating with key process owners to ensure Application process outputs and data interfaces are robust and accurate.
  • Work with business units to develop IT strategies and to improve current IT implementations.
  • Drives standardization globally within manufacturing area of responsibility.
