Daily Activities:

  • This role would be an extension of the current Atos Linux Role today as primary lead with training to a larger team to support the growth and health of the Linux Service
  • Maintaining current IaaS Linux Infrastructure support in Cloud
  • Includes current Satellite, Orcharhino and Ansible
  • Including onboarding Scripts for new infrastructure and client VMs
  • Support remaining onPrem Infrastructure with support to migrate over time to Cloud
  • Support transition of Support to Cloud Operations team
  • Decision maker for Evolution of Linux to future services in cloud computing Opportunities to be part of a larger IaaS Engineering Platforms team to expand knowledge in many other Cloud Services of interest.

The Role

  • Configure and deploy Linux servers, virtual machines, and containers based on business requirements.
  • Monitor Linux system performance, analyze logs, and investigate alerts for anomalies or issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and security hardening.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Linuxrelated issues reported by users, IT support teams, or monitoring systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline system administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement Linuxbased solutions for new projects.
  • Review and update documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, mentoring them on Linux best practices and methodologies.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities to ensure 24/7 availability and support for Linux systems.

The Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of Linux administration experience.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in a technical, computer, or mathrelated field (or equivalent experience).
  • Linux Kernel Understanding.
  • Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Cloud Computing Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
