We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our IT team. The Linux SME will be responsible for providing expert-level support, guidance, and leadership in the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux operating systems, deep technical knowledge across various Linux distributions, and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Daily Activities:

  • This role would be an extension of the current Atos Linux Role today as primary lead with training to a larger team to support the growth and health of the Linux Service
  • Maintaining current IaaS Linux Infrastructure support in Cloud
    • Includes current Satellite, Orcharhino and Ansible
    • Including onboarding Scripts for new infrastructure and client VMs
  • Support remaining onPrem Infrastructure with support to migrate over time to Cloud
  • Support transition of Support to Cloud Operations team
  • Decision maker for Evolution of Linux to future services in cloud computing
  • Opportunities to be part of a larger IaaS Engineering Platforms team to expand knowledge in many other Cloud Services of interest.
