Responsibilities:

  • Set the direction: help to define the product vision and strategy, and work with worldclass engineers and members of crossfunctional teams to execute on that vision
  • Figure out what to build: own the long term view (35 years) and complete portfolio within the category/division
  • Owns the test and learn roadmap to inform the product portfolio
  • Develops new ideas/solutions outside product/service offering
  • Collect customer and stakeholder input for the development of technical requirements and product priorities
  • Design, build, and launch: aid in defining a clear direction that meets the strategic goals of the business, ensuring the team delivers on the goals
  • Responsible for writing product requirements, user stories and manage a product roadmap
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are prioritized, implemented and validated
  • Responsible for identifying and performing gap analysis on current product offering and future state
  • Manage and optimize: prioritize among the myriad of opportunities to deliver on the user experience, define success and work with engineers, designers and key business leaders to deliver
  • Analyze, manage, iterate and track the continued success of features in production
  • Participate in process and quality improvement activities, and end of sprint and release retrospectives
  • Recognizes trends for largerscale development needs within and across teams and builds plan to develop skills
  • Ensures team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles; visibly ties department decisions to leadership principles
  • Establish working relationships with internal contacts and will be expected to assist and/or lead initiatives and special projects critical to the direction of business
  • Oversee tasks and responsibilities associated with the planning, directing, coordination and support of daytoday activities relating to projects/initiatives
  • Ability to interact with individuals across Citi at all levels, businesses and locations, providing a broad understanding of the organization while building relationships throughout Citi
  • Participate in and influence management discussions, strategy and approach by helping to define organizational structure
  • Provide counsel to head of business on various matters associated with organizational strategy and talent requirements
  • Monitor management's progress in achieving stated objectives and ensure that strategy is being executed and that progress is communicated effectively
  • Outline an effective communication plan to gain buyin from all stakeholders, and ensuring team interaction model is transparent and effective
  • Support the overall communication needs for the head of the business, to include: coordinating town halls, managing select weekly meetings, developing related agendas, and summarizing meeting minutes
  • Drive revisions in annual strategy by providing competitive insights based on internal data, industry and third party data, and emerging technologies
  • Provide business management capabilities including working with finance and HR to strategize and create processes
  • Help organize commitments such as presentations to management committee, strategy offsites, and other internal speaking engagements
  • Coordinate requests from other seniors and work collaboratively with their offices on meeting agendas and requests
  • Takes a collaborative approach in identifying and resolving issues with appropriate urgency and ensures that execution provides the appropriate solutions for our clients and/or employees

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 810+ years' managerial experience
  • Management experience in consumer financial institutions
  • Demonstrate a high degree of strategic and analytic acumen
  • Business management mindset, with proven track record of results
  • Must be able to frame strategy in a cohesive way so that communication is clear to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic and project management capabilities coupled with analytic and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Outstanding people leadership skills, able to envision an enhanced future state and motivate and inspire others to create it
  • Pragmatic problem solver, forward thinker with independence of thought
  • Ability to create support and buyin across a wide range of stakeholders; create a network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies and decision makers
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results and to facilitate the overall growth of the franchise

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred and managerial exp
