About the roleAs a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Zillow Group Data Management team, you will play a central role for powering analytical and ML teams by providing validated high-quality property datasets that are a single source of truth across the organization.
In addition, you will:
Design, implement, and take ownership of mission-critical ETL pipelinesContribute to the architecture and development of near real-time/batch data productsWork closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to productionalize analytic solutions Enable product engineering teams to onboard their data using data mesh principles and architecture.
Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company.
Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for bonuses depending on factors such as experience, performance and location.
Acerca del rolComo Ingeniero Senior de Desarrollo de Software en el equipo de Gestión de Datos del Grupo Zillow, desempeñarás un papel central para potenciar los equipos analíticos y de ML proporcionando conjuntos de datos de propiedades validados de alta calidad que son una única fuente de verdad en toda la organización
Además, deberás:
Diseñar, implementar y asumir la propiedad de las tuberías ETL de misión crítica.
Contribuir a la arquitectura y el desarrollo de productos de datos en tiempo casi real/por lotesTrabajar en estrecha colaboración con las partes interesadas del negocio, analistas de datos, científicos de datos e ingenieros de aprendizaje automático para producir soluciones analíticas.
Permitir que los equipos de ingeniería de productos incorporen sus datos utilizando principios y arquitectura de malla de datos. Este rol ha sido categorizado como un puesto de teletrabajador.Los teletrabajadores no cuentan con un lugar de trabajo de oficina corporativa permanente y, en cambio, trabajan desde un lugar físico de su elección, el cual debe ser identificado ante la Empresa.
Los empleados pueden vivir en cualquier parte de México, con disponibilidad de viajar a Ciudad de México, ya que recomendamos la asistencia a eventos ocasionales en la oficina.
Además de un salario base competitivo y beneficios, este puesto también es elegible para bonos dependiendo de factores como la experiencia, el desempeño y la ubicación.

Who you areHave previously designed and built complex, highly scalable/reliable data pipelines, using the Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Presto/Airflow/Kinesis or equivalents)5+ years of Software development experience with high proficiency in Python, Java, Scala or another languageMust have SQL knowledgeMust have a thorough knowledge of data structures and algorithmsMust have prior experience working with customers to understand and capture requirements.
