Responsibilities:
We have an immediate opening for a self-motivated team player with the skills required to provide project accounting to support our Latin American locations, where you can contribute to the group's bottom-line success in this support role.
Project Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate project set up according to the terms of the executed contract for Latin American office locations
- Process monthly billing
- Responsible for reviewing weekly timesheets and expense reports
- Responsible for vouchering vendor invoices
- Works directly with Project Managers to monitor and analyze project financial management through the life cycle of projects
- Responsible for maintaining accounts receivable including follow up with project managers, clients, and AR Manager
- Maintain electronic project files
- Participates in annual peer review audit of project files
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Bilingual
- Spanish and English, written and spoken
- 23 years' experience in an accounting role
- Design/Engineering/Construction industry experience a plus
- Must be computer literate, including MS Office Suite, and handson experience with financial database(s)
- Assertive personality with the ability to interface daily with Project Managers
- Strong client service attitude with ability to multitask and accomplish multiple priorities as required
- Team player with ability to selfstart and work independently when required
