Role Definition


Design toolings and devices to produce cast iron products including patterns for no-bake and core boxes for cold box process, while ensuring safety and performance standards.


What you will do (includes but not limited to):

  • Design foundry toolings to produce cast iron products for no-bake process, including gating system, core prints, parting lines, core setting strategy and fixtures.
  • Complying with safety, health, and environmental guidelines and participating in continuous improvement of the procedures while designing new tooling and fixtures.
  • Pursuing improvements and innovation to eliminate change over time, and improve safety, ergonomics, and quality.
  • Attending meetings for product design review to contribute ideas to facilitate manufacturability.
  • Conducting project reviews with suppliers.
  • Conduct onsite supplier audits and collaboration for production and projects
  • Up to 50% travel

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 year of foundry tooling (design, testing, and production) experience
  • Knowledge on designing foundry toolings and components on 3D CAD modeling softwares as Creo
  • Knowledge on MagmaSoft simulation
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
