About the role

The Senior Supervisor of Payroll position at Carrier is responsible for overseeing the accurate and efficient processing of payroll. This involves ensuring compliance and internal control through managing a team and developing effective procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update payroll data changes in the system
  • Supervise a team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Validate that received documents are complete and authorized before processing.
  • Review payroll reports before finalizing payroll processing.
  • Resolve data errors and document corrective actions.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Aid in reconciling year-end payroll filings and reports, aligning with Federal, State, and Local regulations and deadlines (e.g. W-2s).
  • Support various projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, leading and motivating teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in English
  • Preferably a college degree in a relevant field like Office Administration, Accounting, or Payroll
  • Thorough knowledge of the GlobalView (ADP) SAP-based payroll system
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Solid understanding of Payroll Administration and HR practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster relationships with team members
  • Effective communication with personnel at all organizational levels
  • Capable leadership skills to motivate and lead teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
