The CSIS Security Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals.

Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.

Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short
- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • This role will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of Citi by interacting with multiple businesses across the enterprise
  • Manage day to day Executive Protection logistics, to include scheduling of personnel and travel
  • Responsible for complying with all policies required to meet organizational goals in order to eliminate or reduce threats and vulnerabilities
  • Manage daytoday operational activities within span of control, to include emergency response, crisis management and recovery functions, across multiple locations
  • Synchronize security activities to generate Key Performance Metrics (KPI)
  • Integrate concept of "Continuous Improvement" into management activities
  • Manage budgets, display fiscal and budgetary discipline to meet expected spend patterns, achieve goals and remain within defined budget parameters
  • Manage contingent and contract staff at various Citi facilities and sites
  • Clearly and concisely brief management on ongoing major security matters and does so in a professional manner

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of work experience (5+ years managing a team of security professionals, security program or resources)
  • Managed team of Security managers, security professionals and contingent staff
  • Experience working in a corporate or financial services security team
  • Established effective relationships with senior business leaders and internal partners
  • Managed complex security projects that have global consequences as well as criminal or regulatory implications
  • Executed efficiently under tight time constraints
  • Demonstrated indepth understanding of the elements of a security & safety risk and control environment.
  • Demonstrated a broad understanding of security vulnerabilities with proven skills to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities through partnership
  • Demonstrated indepth understanding of security technology (e.g., Vehicle Armoring, DVR, CCTV, Cameras, Surveillance, Access Control, Biometrics, Alarm Systems, Fire detection & Suppression)
  • Conducted independent research and identifies new technology to enhance security controls
  • Has experience in understanding potential security or safety threats (e.g., fire, executive protection), local threats based on geographic location and other factors
  • Demonstrated indepth understanding of risk management and innovatively develops solutions and makes suggestions to senior management to mitigate risks
  • Performed/participated in critical resource evaluations of staff to raise operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Experience working in a corporate or financial services security team
  • Domestic and International Travel
  • Flexibility to work on call off hours/weekends

Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English
