We are looking for a person to develop and own the projects of environmental in our third-party and own manufacture operations.

Provide strategic actions to achieve our environmental objectives, develop and implement improvement actions to ensure legal compliance and achieve Diageo's legal standards in our operations.

Provide support in the application of new technologies according to the needs of the operation.

Participate with the Management team in defining goals and establishing action plans to achieve our environmental goals for the category (short and long term).Establish and develop a local support network (maintenance, laboratories, manufacturing, engineering, quality, compliance, etc.) to facilitate the fulfillment of our environmental objectives.

Keep informed to Category Head and Diageo's Senior Sustainability Manager about the status of environmental projects and critical metrics.

Take action on Diageo's environmental management systems in collaborating with local and global teams and ensure the continuous improvement of the system to ensure legal compliance with national laws and corporate standards.

Liaise with local authorities (in collaboration with corporate relationships), public and relevant collaborators.

About the role:


Diagnose the category and develop an environmental strategy through environmental projects management to ensure the implementation of the environmental management system, guaranteeing compliance with applicable regulations, as well as international standards, corporate and operational requirements, ensuring 2030 sustainability objectives.

This vacancy is based in the city of Oaxaca, México.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Completed degree in any of the areas related to the Environment or Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any related degree

Languages:
native Spanish and intermediate - high level English is essential.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate 2 or more years' success in a similar role.
Know how of Mexican legislation regarding Environment compliance.

Desirable experience on:
Spirits manufacturing, ISO 14001 y/o B-Corp Certifications, "Industria limpia" or environmental certificationsProficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Proficient in virtual team applications e.g. Zoom, Quip, TRACC.

Proficient in analytics tools:
Power BI, Tableau, MashZone

High qualifications in skills of:
Leadership, Project Management, effective communication, strategic actions, team management, ability to influence others, self-directed, results oriented
