This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Tijuana, Baja California, Mex.


Your Role
At Aptiv, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that make transportation safer, greener, and more connected.

This position will coordinate with the product engineers the development of new part numbers (drawings release and Bill Of Materials execution) and engineering changes in accordance with the automotive industry and customer standards.

As Product Engineering Supervisor your day-to-day will consist of the following:

  • Responsible to develop, guide, mentor, evaluate, train, manage and recognize employees
  • Coordinates product engineers on the implementation of new part numbers or engineering changes and their validation
  • Attract, recruit and retain talent
  • Monitor assigned targets and ensure that the team meets them
  • Ensure product engineers follow the procedures and use the established systems (SAP, GSD, PlanView, etc.)
  • Support customer communication if required
  • Drive and support enterprise continuous improvement (cost, quality, performance, efficiency)
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements

Your Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related)

Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing:


  • 3+ years' experience working as a Product Engineer:

3+ years' experience working in the automotive industry (automotive OEM milestones or events

Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)

Results Driven:
Proven ability to get results in challenging environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with data transmission lines (Coax, Ethernet, USB) and automotive RF connectors.
  • Six sigma or lean expertise
  • DFMEA, CAD, tolerance stack, GD&T, 8D expertise
