SummaryThe Licensing Manager – LATAM will lead regulatory licensing work across Mexico, Brazil and other Latin American markets. This includes Mexico MTL & IFPE, Brazil VASP (and familiarity with payment institution/IP licensing), and future licenses as Velafi expands in the region.Key ResponsibilitiesLead licensing submissions and regulatory filings across Mexico, Brazil and additional LATAM markets.Mexico: Manage licensing applications and regulatory submissions for Mexico MTL and IFPE, including documentation, policies and regulator follow-ups.Brazil:Lead Brazil VASP authorisation with the Central Bank under the new virtual asset framework.Leverage prior experience with Brazil payment institution (IP / payment services) licensing as a strong plus.Prepare and maintain regulatory documents, policies, governance frameworks and official responses.Liaise with regulators, external counsel, consultants and auditors across LATAM.Ensure ongoing post-licensing compliance (regulatory reports, audits, governance and controls).Monitor regulatory developments in LATAM and provide structured impact analysis to senior stakeholders.Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Banking and Product teams to align business plans with regulatory requirements.Support licensing readiness and planning for future new markets in the region.Requirements4–8 years of experience in LATAM regulatory licensing, fintech/payments compliance or financial services regulation.Hands-on experience with at least one of:Mexico MTLMexico IFPEBrazil VASP authorisation (DASP)Strong understanding of LATAM financial, payments and/or digital asset regulatory frameworks.Proven ability to prepare regulatory submissions and interact with supervisory authorities.Native Spanish with strong written skills; English required; Portuguese is a plus.
