Job Title: Tax Preparer (Business & Individual Returns)Location: RemoteEmployment Type: Full-TimeExperience Level: 2-3 Years of U.S. Tax Preparation ExperiencePosition OverviewSatellite Teams is looking for an Experienced Tax Preparer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in preparing U.S. federal and state income tax returns for individuals and business entities, including partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations. This role requires strong attention to detail, up-to-date technical knowledge of tax laws, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review U.S. individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065).Handle multi-state filings and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and deadlines.Assist in tax planning and identify opportunities to reduce clients’ tax liabilities.Maintain organized and accurate client records in line with firm policies.Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve inquiries.Collaborate with senior preparers and CPAs on complex returns and special projects.Stay current on tax law changes through ongoing education and training.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience in U.S. individual and business tax preparation.Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.Preferred: EA or CPA certification (or actively working toward one).
