Metrology EngineerPurpose of the PositionThe Metrology Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and traceability of all measurement processes within the organization. This role oversees the function and maintenance of measurement equipment, continuously improves metrology methods, and ensures full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. The position also conducts dimensional verification of initial samples, analyzes measurement and physicochemical test reports, and identifies opportunities to integrate new technologies or equipment to strengthen measurement capabilities.Main Roles & ResponsibilitiesManagement and administration of measuring equipmentPlan and execute measurement programs, including operation of CMM, VMS, and mechanical testing equipmentVerify and manage equipment operation and preventive maintenanceDocument procedures, SOPs, and work methods to ensure standardization and complianceImplement improvements to enhance measurement accuracy and process reliabilityPropose and evaluate new technologies or measurement equipmentMonitor part measurements according to drawings and GD&T requirementsParticipate in internal and external audits related to metrology and quality systemsReview technical reports such as daily logs, SPC, FAI, CPK, GRR, and othersVerify maintenance and cleaning activities for laboratory equipment to ensure proper preservation and controlVerify R&R studies and CPK results to ensure process capabilityManage calibration activities for on‑site samplesPromote and maintain 5S culture within the quality control laboratoryMaintain a high level of quality in all assigned tasksParticipate in internal design reviews and deliver clear presentations to engineers, technicians, and managementIdentify and prioritize projects based on available data and organizational needs.Foxconn provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
