Responsibilities

What will you bring to the table?

Being part of the Product Quality Assurance (QA) crew, the Senior QA Automation Engineer will focus on boosting the test automation framework & creating automatic test scripts for projects within the Product Development crew. Additionally, they will develop, sustain & enhance automated regression test suites. Collaboration with architects, infrastructure, developers, team leads, tech leads & project managers on app specifics and utilizing the .NET and Microsoft product stack.

Duties & Outputs:
Tasks as a Senior QA Automation Engineer will cover, among others, the subsequent actions:

  • Upgrade the test automation framework promptly & accurately to expand technical QA capabilities for the project.
  • Collaborate with QA & development teams to plan, execute & run an efficient automation test strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio/Microsoft Test Manager to create & run automated actions against Web Applications, Web Services, SQL Server.
  • Hands-on involvement with Visual Studio to conduct automated API tests. Execute application functional & integration tests.
  • Coordinate with QA, development & product management crews to ensure the test automation design aligns with the project's requirements.
  • Maintain a source code repository of all scripts & programs linked to the automation framework & tests.
  • Monitor test progress to offer analysis & metrics on the QA automation development endeavor. Record & monitor product defects extensively in TFS.
  • Provide prompt & efficient communication to the Test Lead concerning quality, resource & project matters and issues.

Mandatory Experience:

  • 4-5 years of hands-on experience in test automation development.
  • 3 year experience utilizing UI & API automation tools in Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Managing priorities & conflicting timelines and operating in a swift environment.
  • Background in banking or financial services can be advantageous.

Skills & Knowledge prerequisites:

  • Diploma or Bachelors in Computer Science or similar field of study.
  • Strong coding abilities in Java or another OOP language.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automation tools like Selenium for UI & SoapUI for API.
  • In-depth understanding of relational database structure & application.
  • Formal SDLC experience utilizing Agile strategies.
