We are in search of a Manufacturing Technician to join our Copper Lighting Solutions plant located in Cienega de Flores.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will oversee a specific Assembly Area in the Copper Lighting sector based in Monterrey, Mexico. Your role involves understanding manufacturing processes such as Process, Productivity, Maintenance, Electrical Test, and Lean Manufacturing. Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams is essential to achieve business objectives related to Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Cost efficiency.

What your responsibilities include:- Promoting a Continuous Improvement culture, applying lean manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency and meet customer expectations.
- Driving both short-term and long-term enhancements to accomplish goals identified on Value Stream Maps.
- Playing an active role in kaizen events and High-Performance Work Team activities. Focusing on set-up reduction, TPM, 5S, and problem-solving tasks (including supporting Six-Sigma initiatives).
- Engaging in continuous improvement projects aligned with the Six-Sigma methodology.
- Developing and executing plans to introduce new products/equipment and enhancements to stay competitive in the market, with the guidance of a Manufacturing Engineer.
- Optimizing existing processes as needed and improving cycle times to maximize resource utilization.
- Monitoring timing, expenditure, and savings on Capital projects for the facility, supported by a Manufacturing Engineer.
- Creating manufacturing process instructions, Setup sheets, visual aids, and training materials for the Assembly area.
- Assisting in root cause and failure analysis when necessary and devising corrective actions to address issues related to defective products or materials.
- Ensuring closure and follow-up on Safety and Ergonomics actions based on manufacturing requirements.
- Planning and executing maintenance activities as per Manufacturing demands.
- Certified technician degree
- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis)
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
- Fluency in Spanish and at least 50% proficiency in English
