The Opportunity

Lead and develop consumer-centric product designs to solve problems and capitalize on business opportunities for the Global Baked platform across various regions. Create product options and technical solutions to drive growth and gain a competitive edge. Additionally, in this role, you will collaborate closely with regional and global business units to foster synergies and seize opportunities for knowledge transfer and business impact.

Your Impact

As an R&D Food Project Senior Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Applying scientific methods and food science expertise to devise innovative technical solutions for innovation, brand protection, productivity, and portfolio enhancement initiatives for multinational deployment within PepsiCo, safeguarding the business technically.
  • Testing product formulations at a bench scale and scaling up the optimized formulations through Design of Experiments (DOE) at a pilot scale to explore innovation possibilities.
  • Overseeing the project management agenda encompassing technical strategy, setting timelines and budgets, ensuring processes and systems align with technical and business goals.
  • Conducting basic economic assessments on new products and estimating potential business value.
  • Collaborating externally to procure ingredients and tapping into vendor expertise to implement new technical solutions.
  • Providing technical support to drive Baked and Quaker product development, crafting products with superior competitive advantages, and furnishing technical assistance for the professional and timely execution of technology transfer. Collaborating to ensure sustained growth through updated product designs of baked goods.

Who Are We Looking For?

Education:

  • BSc in Food Science and/or Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Mandatory Experience Required:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Product Development; designing baked products, formulating, and food processing background
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage complex projects and multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficient Oral and Written English Skills
