This role involves working with a skilled team of SRE specialists to deliver exceptional support for Corporate Services (Commercial Engineering/Corporate Services), taking on the daily operations for the applications you work with, within a global team committed to continuous enhancement of our enterprise.

About the Role

In this exciting opportunity as a Sr. Applications Support Engineer (SRE), you will:

  • Collaborate with application development teams to ensure new applications and features are operationally ready.
  • Work closely with stakeholders such as business teams, product owners, and project management to define roadmaps for applications and processes.
  • Drive ongoing service improvement and innovation in productivity, software quality, and reliability, aiming to meet or exceed SLAs.
  • Monitor and analyze key business operational and technical metrics.
  • Effectively communicate complex problems, concepts, and solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Contribute to departmental strategy and work towards achieving department goals that align with the company's core values.
  • Engage in challenging initiatives like large-scale upgrades.
  • Collaborate with security, data center, and service governance teams to ensure compliance with internal and external standards, expectations, and certifications.
  • Keep documentation, processes, and procedures up to date.
  • Embrace a culture of continual learning and stay curious about emerging technologies.

About You

You are a great fit for this role if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a Computer Science or related technical degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in software development and/or technology infrastructure and operations.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience supporting applications built on modern architecture and cloud infrastructure, as well as familiarity with various technologies such as JavaScript frameworks, HTML/CSS/JS, Node.JS, TypeScript, jQuery, Docker, AWS/Azure.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, presentation, documentation, troubleshooting, and collaborative problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and thriving on complex technical and business challenges.
  • Knowledge of ITIL.
