About the Product

Oracle Enterprise Manager serves as Oracle's top database and Engineered Systems management platform, offering customers a complete solution for monitoring and managing both on-premise and Cloud-based databases, Exadatas, and Recovery Appliances. Its deep integration with Oracle's product stack enables full-spectrum management across performance, high availability, and security areas. Along with advanced features like performance analytics and capacity planning, Enterprise Manager provides value-added capabilities to manage databases effectively.

This role focuses on being a full stack engineer specializing in database management and engineered systems within Oracle Enterprise Manager. This platform acts as a centralized management tool for all Oracle deployments, whether on-premises or in the Oracle Cloud. Team members enhance the platform by adding support for new database features and resolving issues within existing functionalities.

About The Job

This position is for a skilled Senior Software Engineer in the Enterprise Manager Database and Engineered Systems Management team. Collaborating with a dynamic team of software engineers, test engineers, and product managers, you will design and implement complex, UI-driven database and Engineered Systems management functions using various technologies such as Java, JDBC, Oracle JET, REST, JSON, GIT, Python, Perl, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.

Aside from core development tasks, you will tackle challenging customer issues in intricate environments involving operating systems, databases, clustering, distributed systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure. If you enjoy using your software architecture and algorithm knowledge to solve real-world problems, this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a software developer, preferably with an enterprise-scale, multi-tier product
  • 2+ years of experience with Java or another high-level programming language
  • 2+ years of experience with database-related development
  • Working-level experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and JDBC
  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
