Marsh McLennan is looking for individuals with strong business skills and extensive knowledge/experience in the Construction & Infrastructure sector for the position stated below in Monterrey or Ciudad de México:

Business Development Manager (Construction & Infrastructure)

Responsibilities include:

  • Pursuing new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with clients, project managers, insurers, Banks and Investments Institutions.
  • Identifying and researching potential clients.
  • Building and managing client relationships.
  • Coordinating with Cluster teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
  • Negotiating contract terms with clients and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project teams to ensure proper contract execution.
  • Extracting valuable insights from customer and competitor data.
  • Conducting presentations to potential clients and internal executives.
  • Establishing processes and policies to support business operations.
  • Identifying and adding qualified prospects to the sales pipeline.
  • Cultivating and overseeing strategic partnerships to drive business growth.
  • Monitoring and reporting on proposal status.
  • Conducting ongoing market research.
  • Collaborating with the Specialty Director on pricing strategies and rate proposals.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process with prospects and customers (buy-in).
  • Preparing and submitting quotations, RFPs, and sales contracts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Capital Investment Companies/investment Banks or construction material suppliers focused on Infrastructure & Construction Projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Experience in the Construction & Infrastructure industry, including project finance, feasibility processes, planning, and construction.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings (up to 50% of the time).
  • Goal-oriented mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Capability to establish and maintain business relationships across various sectors and customer base.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Project Finance Certification.
  • Construction Project Management Certification.
  • Negotiation & Business Development Courses.
  • Growth mindset.
