Strategic Buyer

A multinational FMCG company located in Puebla, Mexico, is seeking its next Strategic Buyer (CAPEX, and Civil Works)

As Strategic Buyer (CAPEX, and Civil Works) your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop strategic sourcing (with a category vision, expense analysis, supply and demand, market strategy, etc.). Also responsible for implementing regional strategies.
• Collaborate with end-users to identify business needs and translate them into effective and efficient contracts.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, requesting their registration through SAP SLP.
• Conduct internal price and process comparisons with the Regional Buyer on projects executed in other countries.
• Manage the bidding process, electronic auctions, negotiation, and award using the SAP Ariba Sourcing tool.
• Share technical and commercial information through alignment meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on the project status and receive feedback.
• Maintain the relationship with the supplier, providing feedback during the bidding process and organizing meetings with end-users.
• Create the legal contract that includes awarded commercial offers, penalties, non-compliance fines, and management indicators, in collaboration with legal, the supplier, and stakeholders, through SAP Ariba Contract.
• Participate in the sustainability program, incorporating key suppliers and developing action plans if necessary.
• Supervise Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) in your portfolio and incorporate new relevant suppliers, considering new tools, processes, and projects.
• Follow the purchasing procedure to meet company compliance requirements.
• Actively participate in forums, summits, and fairs related to technological advancements for the company's business, staying updated with industry trends and best practices to drive improvement.
• Although as Strategic Buyer (CAPEX, and Civil Works) you will be located in Puebla, Mexico, availability for travel is required.

Essential:

• Experience working with CAPEX, and Civil Works as a procurement category.
• Advanced English.
• Relevant experience multinational FMCG companies.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba (Contract, Sourcing, Network); Auctions, complex bidding tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
