Application Reliability Engineer This position has been designated as 'Hybrid' with the expectation that you will work an average of 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

The Application Reliability Engineer is responsible for Incident Management and Resolution, leading vendor teams to address and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues concerning the Hybris e-commerce platform and Java/J2EE applications.

  • Analyzing and troubleshooting technical issues to identify root causes and apply effective solutions.
  • Handling Level 4 incidents (minor enhancements) promptly

Key Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring:

  • Supervising the performance and availability of the Hybris environment and Java application on Apache, Tomcat environment
  • Proactively recognizing and resolving potential performance bottlenecks and system problems.
  • Implementing performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Documenting troubleshooting steps and solutions for knowledge exchange.
  • Collaborating closely with development teams, other interacting application teams, and infrastructure teams to promptly address and resolve issues.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings and conversations to enhance system reliability.
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements

Hybris Configuration:

  • Aiding in the configuration and customization of the Hybris platform based on client requirements.
  • Working with developers to implement modifications and updates to the Hybris system.
  • Ensuring the proper operation of the Hybris architecture and associated components.

About You:

  • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with over 8 years of hands-on experience
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Hybris e-commerce platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SAP Hybris Commerce architecture and components.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting Java, Spring, and other technologies utilized in Hybris development.
  • Solid comprehension of core Hybris Commerce, CPQ/SSC modules' out-of-the-box functions and end-to-end solution implementation and relevant integrations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; proven influencing skills, high level of technical and team leadership qualities.
  • Understanding of GITHUB, Docker, Monitoring Tool such as NewRelic, Dynatrace, SAP Wily Introscope, Kafka, CI-CD
  • Successful candidates for this role will possess outstanding business acumen and extensive experience in supporting the resolution of business issues and aiding HPE in transforming its service offerings
  • Experience in performance monitoring and tuning of Hybris applications.
