Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
Engage in business analysis activities to understand needs, translate them into technical specs, and implement impactful reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
Report Development:
Design, develop, test, and deploy dynamic reports and dashboards using data from diverse sources.
Operational Support:
Provide ongoing support to ensure the availability and performance of BI reports and dashboards.
Security Management:
Ensure proper authentication and authorization within the Power BI environment.
Query Development:
Craft and execute database queries for analysis and ad-hoc reports.
Performance Optimization:
Enhance query efficiency and optimize report performance.
Process Improvement:
Research and implement solutions to refine and elevate reporting processes.
User Training:
Educate and onboard users on Power BI capabilities and best practices.
Data Quality Monitoring:
Keep a vigilant eye on data quality and address any issues promptly.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience: 4-5 years of experience creating high-performing, reliable, scalable, and secure data visualizations and dashboards.
SQL Proficiency:
Strong SQL skills with experience in designing database schemas and optimizing query performance.
Microsoft Stack Expertise:
Hands-on experience with the MS SQL Server BI Stack, including Power BI, Power Query, MDX, DAX, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL.
SSRS Knowledge:
Familiarity with SSRS is a plus.
Database Fundamentals:
Solid understanding of relational and multidimensional database design.
Integration Skills:
Experience in exporting and integrating Power BI reports with other platforms.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
Communication:
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
