**Career Area**:Human Resources**:**Build the team that builds a better world.**Caterpillar wouldn't be the company it is today without the men and women who shape it.Because our employees power our success, we're committed to empowering theirs.As a member of our HR team, you'll help us create a culture that enables people to produce their best work every day—work that changes lives for the better around the world.A solid HR background and good communication skills matter, but you'll succeed here if you're also:- Focused on serving your customers- Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills- Innovative and diverse thinking- Ready to work in and help create flexible, collaborative environments**JOB PURPOSE**:To provide training and support the overall training needs of the facility/division, which are based on corporate, facility and training objectives..**JOB RELATED STATISTICS**:Annual Training Expenses, large facility$2 - $20 millionAnnual Training Expenses, small facility$2, 000 - $800, 000**JOB DUTIES**:Delivers and/or facilitates training at facility.Maintains job performance systems for operating units at facility/business unit.Conducts annual training needs assessment and develops both short and long term facility training plan.Analyzes performance problems, training requests and skill or knowledge needs of employees.Develops, selects, and recommends courseware, job aids, and performance systems to satisfy needs.To assure improvement in the learning process.Procures and evaluates training material or courses from outside sources including, colleges, universities, technical schools, private institutions or consultants in special skills training.Maintains up-to-date skills and knowledge concerning new materials/methods for performance improvement and instructional technology.Develops long and short range training projects using data collection/analysis, Skills Management System inputs, or other methods to assure improvement in learning processes.Performs cost/benefit studies on training interventions.Coordinates activities of Apprentices and other Formal Trainees.Coordinates and/or conducts first line supervisory training as appropriate.Coordinates various training support systems and activities as required by operating management.The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.Typical internal customers include various contacts in a portion of Caterpillar worldwide operations.External contacts include various customers and vendors throughout worldwide markets.The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems, which may not be obvious.The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions.The incumbent is free to determine the best way to complete job assignments in order to achieve desired results.Work is reviewed after completion, except in the most complex or high impact situations.Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, Internal Quality Certification, etc.The position works to develop innovative processes or methods to best use resources or technology in meeting the quality goals.**JOB REQUIEREMENTS**- The position requires knowledge of various Caterpillar personnel and/or benefits policies and programs.- Personal computer skills are required.- The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.- University Degree- 3 - 5 years of job-related experience are typically required.- Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.- Workday system knowledge is a plus.- Advanced English skills**The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.In this company we do not request pregnancy tests, nor HIV tests as requirements for employment entry, permanence or promotion.****Final details**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?Submit your information to our Talent Network here.
