Remote AR Reconciliation Specialist (100% Work From Home) Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM on one of the major US time zones Job Overview: The AR Reconciliation Specialist (internally titled Payment Processing Specialist) is responsible for accurate and timely processing of customer payments. This role involves reconciling customer accounts, researching and resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a methodical approach to problem‑solving. Responsibilities: Review and post customer payments and transactions related to Accounts Receivable. Document that payments were posted in the team’s bank reconciliation spreadsheet. Research issues that are holding up proper payment posting. Address customer payment issues such as overpayment, short payment, or duplicate payment. Investigate discrepancies where customers claim payment was made but records show otherwise, using payment confirmations for further research. Compare Accounts Receivable by customer reported in VARCommerce versus QuickBooks and resolve discrepancies. Handle payments to the US entity in USD and to the Canadian entity in CAD. Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies: Excellent attention to detail. Methodical and patient, ensuring payments are posted correctly and not proceeding without full certainty. Persistence in researching historical issues until completion. Strong written communication skills for discussing detailed AR issues with customers.
