Sr Staff Engineer

**Location**:JUÁREZ, NUEVO LEÓN**BASIC FUNCTION**This position is responsible for the ongoing operation maintenance & repair of all Kohler Faucets facilities support systems (plant utilities).These systems include: Water treatment and distribution systems, compressed air systems, steam and hot water systems, emergency generators, HVAC systems, natural gas distribution system, and railroads.The position also is responsible for all outsourced maintenance services and contracts related to these systems.**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**Establishing maintenance plans and projects, which will ensure the optimum availability, reliability and maintainability of plant utilities within safe operating limits.Determine procedures, performance tests, collected data, operational plans and tools to ensure optimal operation and performance of the utilities equipment and compliance with regulatory requirements.Administration and oversight of all outsourced maintenance services and contracts related to the plant utilities.Develop outage and major overhauls plans.Develop a long-term strategic planning for the utility systems.Develop and maintain a technical, drawing configuration, document, regulatory, and plant event library.Recommend and develop energy management and conservation projects.Identifies, investigates, and analyzes a wide range of complex technical issues, and develops safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.Develop the annual budget for plant utilities and improvement projects.Assist in the development of annual capital plans related to major maintenance of plant utilities equipment.Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.Supervise subordinate staff in the operation and maintenance of the plant utilities.Create regular reports detailing the performance of the plant utilities operation relative to key performance parameters.Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.**Skills/Requirements****EDUCATION**:Bachelor's degree in Engineering.**EXPERIENCE**:A minimum of 5 years' experience working in maintenance/engineering related areas.**FORMATION**:Preference Technical knowledge of utilities equipment, maintenance, performance calculations and practices.Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, word-processing and project software.Preference Fluent in spoken and written English.**SKILLS**:**Traits****Critical**: Abstract Reasoning Ability, Thoroughness, Cautiousness, Self-Structure, Urgency, Aggressiveness, Assertiveness, Ego-Strength, Energy, Idea Orientation.**Supporting**: Ego-drive, Empathy, External Structure, Gregariousness, Idea Orientation, and Sociability.**Behaviors****Critical**: Is persistent; confidently expresses ideas and opinions; copes with rejection; recognizes problems, issues and opportunities; gathers and analyzes data; creates new concepts and approaches to solve problems; learns from mistakes; independently sets goals, objectives and priorities; manages multiple tasks and activities; works quickly.**Supporting**: Persuasively sells ideas to gain support and buy-in; considers others ´ points of view with an open mind; follows established policies and procedures.**Why Work at Kohler Co.?**Kohler Co.'s mission is to contribute to a higher level of gracious living for those who are touched by our products and services.We understand that it takes investment in our associates' development to make that happen.So, we offer ongoing investment in each individual's personal development and the opportunity to collaborate with others across functions and roles at Kohler.In addition to the investment in your development, Kohler offers a benefits package including a competitive salary, health, vision, dental, 401(k) with company matching, and more**About Us**Beyond the competitive benefits and compensation, Kohler proudly offers a rich history, steeped in creativity and a commitment to our associates and communities.
