Media Relations SpecialistCIMMYT is a leading non-profit international organization dedicated to solving global food security challenges.We are seeking a dynamic professional for the position of Media Relations Specialist.The selected candidate will work in our Engagement department, driving media outreach strategies and securing positive coverage in global, regional, and national media.Key responsibilities include:- Developing and implementing media relations operational plans aligned with CIMMYT's mission and strategic goals.- Executing media outreach strategies to secure feature stories, interviews, and press releases.- Monitoring media coverage and producing regular reports to assess PR effectiveness and inform strategy.Required skills and qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.- Minimum 5 years of experience in media relations, public affairs, or strategic communications, preferably in an international or research-focused organization.- Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing media events.- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English; Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.- Experience with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms.Benefits:- Competitive remuneration package.- Opportunities for continuous professional development.- Year-end bonus (40 days).- Life and medical insurance.- Supermarket coupons.- Savings fund.- Mexican social benefits.For more information, please visit our website.
