**Company**: Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office **Job Area**: Human Resources Group, Human Resources Group > Employee Relations **General Summary**: We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist with strong expertise in investigations to join our Employee Relations team. The Employee Relations Senior Specialist role is responsible for investigating employee concerns, working with managers to improve employee performance, providing policy interpretation and consulting with HR teams and business leadership. You will play a crucial role in identifying solutions to complex challenges and enhancing our work culture by creating an open, fair and transparent work environment and contributing to the overall success of our organization. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct ER investigations and cases related to dissatisfaction, company confidential information, critical incidents, policy and practice questions, policy compliance, professional conduct and/or interpersonal conflict with support leadership. - Leverage knowledge of ER best practices, including applicable state/federal/local law and fair and equitable employment practices to support and pro-actively lead ER-related projects (e.g., investigations, performance improvement plans, conflict management, etc.) and any follow-up with some guidance. - Utilize data and information from interviews, analytic tools, surveys, observations, and performance data to make data-based decisions on ER-related topics (e.g., employee morale, employee engagement, work/life balance, organizational culture, employee turnover, workplace incidences, etc.). - Collaborate with and provides support for immediate team members, internal counsel, HR teams, and other relevant resources to resolve employee relations-related issues effectively and in compliance with local/applicable laws. - Seek essential knowledge of advances in the Employee Relations field and identifies opportunities for professional growth and development; shares knowledge with others. Identify areas of opportunity for team to improve processes and efficiency. - Must be flexible and adaptable to changing organization needs and be able to confidently respond to changes and alter approach to meet business needs. **Minimum Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Employee Relations, Human Resources, or related work experience. OR Associate's degree and 5+ years of Employee Relations, Human Resources, or related work experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Employee Relations, Human Resources, or related work experience. **Preferred Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Humanities, or related field. - 5+ years of Employee Relations, Human Resources or related work experience - 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization. **Technical Skills**: - Familiarity with HRIS systems and case tracking tools and best practices - Write clear and detailed technical documentation and/or reports for projects and investigations. **Soft Skills**: - Excellent communication skills. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. - Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Proven ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and influence decision-making Qualcomm expects its employees to abide by all applicable policies and procedures, including but not limited to security and other requirements regarding protection of Company confidential information and other confidential and/or proprietary information, to the extent those requirements are permissible under applicable law.
