We’re hiring a Marketing & Community Manager to support the AlmaLinux Foundation, a global community-driven open-source operating system, with additional responsibilities supporting TuxCare, its primary sponsor.This role is approximately 75% focused on AlmaLinux initiatives and 25% on TuxCare marketing activities.You’ll lead community growth, engagement, and events while strengthening partnerships and visibility across the open-source ecosystem.What you’ll doLead and execute Linux community-driven marketing efforts and campaignsCreate and manage engaging content : blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and social mediaDefine and maintain AlmaLinux’s voice and tone across platformsRecruit, onboard, and support volunteers and contributorsManage and moderate community forums and ensure helpful, inclusive participationPlan and run events like AlmaLinux Days and our presence at industry conferencesBuild relationships with sponsors, contributors, and other open-source projectsMeasure and optimize outreach, engagement, and impact using data and community feedbackSupport outbound marketing efforts by setting up and managing cold email campaigns for TuxCare’s AlmaLinux product, including audience segmentation, messaging setup, and campaign trackingAssist with maintaining and editing the company’s HUGO-based website; prior development experience is a plus but not requiredRequirements5+ years in marketing, community building, or developer-focused outreachExcellent communication skills, able to navigate sensitive community interactions with careUnderstanding of Linux, open-source ecosystems, and technical communitiesComfortable working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environmentFamiliarity with tools like Git, Markdown, simple website platforms, Canva or Adobe Illustrator, and basic video editorsBonus if you’ve organized events, contributed to open source, or have a background in design or user experienceBackground in technical support / user experienceBenefitsA focus on professional development;Interesting and challenging projectsFlexible working hoursPaid one month vacation per year and unlimited sick leaveMedical insurance reimbursementCo-working and gym / sports reimbursementThe opportunity to receive a reward for the most innovative idea that the company can patentBy applying for this position, you agree with and give us your consent to maintain and process your personal data with this respect.
