Position Overview We are seeking a meticulous construction estimator who excels in providing accurate cost projections for our major construction projects. As a construction estimator, your role will involve acquiring and analyzing all relevant project specifications, selecting optimal building materials, and securing favorable prices for necessary resources. It will also require you to stay updated on industry trends to ensure that your estimates are both reasonable and competitive. Your ability to translate project requirements into precise figures effortlessly will be crucial for success in this role. A top-notch construction estimator will maintain our high standards while adhering to financial constraints. Responsibilities of a Construction Estimator Gathering essential documents such as property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications. Examining the documentation, virtually meeting with clients, and inspecting construction projects to gain a comprehensive understanding of the required work. Determining the most suitable human and material resources for each project. Obtaining multiple quotes and evaluating them to select the most favorable offers. Negotiating with service providers to secure better pricing. Outlining work plans to estimate the required time for project completion. Conducting risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan. Considering the use of resources along with a reasonable profit margin to calculate the overall cost. Creating proposals that detail envisioned materials, costs, and timeframes. Meeting virtually with clients to address their thoughts and concerns regarding our offers. Requirements for a Construction Estimator A degree in mechanical engineering, architecture, or a related field. Qualification in project management is highly advantageous. Demonstrable experience as a construction estimator with a focus on USA Construction projects. Proficiency in using construction estimating software, particularly experience with PlanSwift. Ability to forecast costs for complex and high-value construction projects, specifically within the context of the USA Construction industry. Knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical documents related to USA Construction regulations and standards. Outstanding research and proposal writing abilities, tailored to the requirements and nuances of the USA Construction sector. Proficiency in negotiation with experienced sales personnel, with a specific emphasis on the intricacies of the USA Construction market. Dependable, conscientious, and articulate in communication, especially when interacting with stakeholders in the USA Construction industry. Benefits Competitive salary.
