**Career Area**:Purchasing & Procurement**:**Your Work Shapes the World**Whether it be groundbreaking products, best in class solutions or creating a lifelong career, you can do the work that matters at Caterpillar.With a 95-year legacy of quality and innovation and 150 locations in countries around the world, your impact spans the globe.When you join Caterpillar, you are joining a team of makers, innovators and doers.We are the people who roll up our sleeves and do the work to build a better world.We don't just talk about progress and innovation.We make it happen.And we are proud of that because it helps our customers build and power the world we live in - the roads, hospitals, homes and infrastructure.Without a dedicated workforce Caterpillar could not effectively meet our customer's needs.Join us.Caterpillar is hiring a **Global Category Procurement Manager **, responsible for Earthmoving L1-L4 Cabs and Enterprise L1-L3 Cab components.As a Global Category Procurement Manager, you will oversee a global team of direct reports in multiple regions/countries.The position manages Cabs and Cab components to deliver year over year Quality Cost Logistics Development Management (QCLDM) performance improvement.**Job Duties**:- Accountable for the development, communication, and implementation of a worldwide sourcing strategy for Earthmoving L1-L4 Cabs and Enterprise L1-L3 Cab components- Identifies performance gaps within the supply base and developing improvement plans for the identified gaps- Utilizing the QCLDM supplier development and measurement tool to ensure an ongoing improvement plan is in effect with key suppliers- Evaluates sustainable strategic options, deciding on a course of action and implementation- Invested in development and coaching of direct reports**Basic Qualifications**:- Progressively responsible experience in purchasing/procurement roles over course of career- Extensive Strategic Category Management experience- Prior people management experience- Extensive negotiation experience with suppliers- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing for the procurement process- Fluent in English- Bachelor's degree- Extensive Planning experience: effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to planning in support of the overall business plan- Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance- Knowledge of Earthmoving products and Cabs- Ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions- Experience effectively managing business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components**Additional Details**:- Work location: Monterrey, Mexico- International travel is required up to 25%**Final Details**:**The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select, and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.In this company we do not request pregnancy tests, nor HIV tests as requirements for employment entry, permanence or promotion.**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?Submit your information to our Talent Network here.
